STREET OPERATION
A BRAVE MAN While a man lay in a Bristol street with his leg entangled in the wheel of a steam wagon, five doctors co-oper-ated in amputating the limb. The injured man, Henry Brooks, who had slipped from his seat beside the driver of the wagon calmly smoked a cigarette until an anaesthetic was administered.
