WORTHLESS TO STATE Anyone wanting a second-hand tunnel, two and two-thirds miles long, can probably buy one for a song in the State of Washington. It cost between £400,000 and £600,000 new, but -no one, can be found now to claim ownership! of it. . The tunnel, was bhilt by the Great Northern Railroad in the ’9o’s,, and abandoned last year upon completion of the new eight-mile bore under the Cascades, betwen Seattle and Spokane;
