The Wahi ne, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.40 a.m., to-day,, and passengers and mails connected with the express. The Katoa is to come tip fi'om Port. Clialmers and load out on. Monday for Lyttelton and Auckland. The Opihi is due from Westport on Tuesday morning, and loads on Wednesday for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. • The Kaitoke sailed from Auckland yesterday, being 'due here next Thursday morning. The Maheiio leaves Melbourne «a Thursday, due here ou March IS. WITH NEW YORK CARGO. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. advise that the Port Napier left New York on March- 1 for Auckland, 'Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. NEW CARGO STEAMER TALUNE.: The Union Company’s new steamer Talune left Glasgow last Saturday on her maiden voyage to New Zealand; She is a cargo steamer of 2,500 tens,and was built by the Blythswood Shipbuilding Company. Her dimensions are Length, 330 ft;. breadth, 45ft;' depth to upper deck,’22ft. The Talune is designed for an average speed of 12 knots. KAEETU’S TRANSHIPMENTS. The Karetu, from.
