HEW YORK'S COLOURED LINEN
The craze for colour in New York homes increases all the time, writes an American friend, so that now it is difficult to find anything white. Tablecloths, which are being used again, are blue, pink, yellow, or_ green, with napkins and table decorations tu match. The dear old-fashioned whitebath towel has given place to a start ling banner in coloured stripes or a vivid rose or jade green flag, while face towels aro equally gay. A novelty in table accessories is the long napkin instead of the square one, ami these have ; been christened “ lapkins.”
