NEW PICTURE FOR EMPIRE Charles Farrell, co-featufed with Janet Gay nor in ‘ Sunny Side Up/ Fox Movietone musical comedy, writ* ten by B. G. de Sylva, Lew Brown, and Ray Henderson, is a well-dressed-young man for the first time in his screen career in tins production. In the past, Farrell always has played roles of the handsome young tie-man of ordinary circumstances, whose idea of sartorial splendour waa a flannel shirt open at the heck, and a pair of corduroy trousers. ‘ Sunny Side Up,’ which will ba seen and beard soon from the screen at the Empire Theatre, however, presents Charley as a wealthy young bachelor, prominent in Long Island sen ciety. .i In such a role, he is seen as a genteel fashion plate, and thousands of dollars were spent in outfitting the young, man for his role.
