TROUBLE IN INDO-CHINA

A FRESH REVOLT REBELS BOMBED BY PLANES. Fwi Awwifttion—tty, Telegraph—Copyright. HONGKONG, February 27. Belated reports show that a fresh revolt has broken out in Indo-China. It began on February 15, when the revolutionists seized the village of Viiihbao and entrenched themselves behind the magistracy and killed the French magistrate. Elated by this success the rebels marched into a neighbouring district and met a large force of loyal native troops en route. The latter at first were defeated with heavy losses, but reinforcements arrived, and the rebels’ progress was checked. Then they were driven back to Vinhbao, which five French aeroplanes bombed, inflicting severe damage. Later the Government forces cleared the village of revolutionists. The losses were heavy on each side. , The country generally is in a state of disorder, but the French are garrisoning many towns with European troops, and a battalion of the Foreign Legion has moved inwards from the Chinese border.
