VAUDEVILLE AT ITS BEST
JIM GERALD’S ‘ BAREBACKS ’ Jim Gerald’s vaudeville company continues to attract large audiences to His Majesty’s Theatre with its bright -md entertaining fare. The reception of the catchy revue, ‘ Barebacks,’ at every session since last. Saturday, has been enthusiastic.- 1 Barebacks,’ which will bo staged finally this evening, is an admirable blend of entertaining items, Jim Gerald assuming the chief comedy role. The revue section of the production introduces a number of good vaudeville turns, which form a splendid prologue to the main portion of the programme.
COMPLETE CHANGE TO-MORROW. Commencing at the matinee, the company will present a complete change of programme. The new revue offering will be ‘Oh! Mum,’ in which Jim Gerald appears in the highly amusing character of a dame. In other towns, Gerald has scored heavily with this character study, and there is no reason why he should not do likewise here. The other principals in the company all have excellent parts to fulfil ,in this mirth-provoker. A series of vaudeville acts will be staged in the first half of the programme.
