Two of the most dangerous bends on the Main North road between Waitati and Dunedin are situated between the Junction and Hangman’s Gully, At one of these late yesterday' afternoon a north-bound Chrysler car, driven by Mr Bell, of Shag Valley, collided with a new Pontiac car journeying to town. No one was hurt, and even the windows of both cars remained intact, but nevertheless very considerable damage was done to the undercarriage of b°th vehicles. The .Pontiac, _ especially, showed the result of the impact, and was badly broken and twisted in the fore parts.
