—Vice-Regal,— Tim Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson arrived at Timaru yesterday on their farewell visit. Lnfortunately, the weather was unpropitious, but tins did not prevent thousands attending the farewell gathering at Caroline Bay. Tho function was also attended by large contingents ot schdol children, Scouts, Girl Guides, and military units. In the evening their Excellencies were entertained by a representative gathering of citizen'. To-day they inspected the schools and public institutions.
