BIG FIRE AT RABAUL
DAMAGE, £50,000 Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY. December 17. A radio message from Rubaul states that the carpenters’ stores and a wdiarf on which there were 3,000 tons of copra were burned. It is also rumoured that three natives were burned to death. Schooners on adjacent slips were severely damaged. The fire is still burning fiercely, and the damage is £50,000.
