BROADCASTING STATIONS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Having read with indignation the letter received by Radio Service, Ltd., from Mr M'Naiuara I feel it is. incumbent upon all listeners with a sense of fair play to voice a strong protest against what is clearly an attempt to make it impossible for the private broadcasting stations to carry on. The excuse that some gramophone dealers are adversely affected is decidedly weak, and is clearly not the real reason for this attack by the Government. 1 am not in any way connected with any bioadcasting station, but 1 derive at least 80 per cent, of my wireless entertainment from the private stations in Dunedin. The private stations’ letter puts the situation before the listeners, the majority of whom. I. am sure, -will not stand by and see these stations forced to close dowm by unfair tactics. —I am, etc., Radio Faik I’lav. December 14.
