Japan is astounded ftt the news that Sadao Saburi, Minister to China, committed suicide bv shooting himself with, a revolver at Moyanoshita on the anniversary of the death of his wife. Saburi two months ago was appointed 'Minister to China, where he became unpopular on account of a speech which the Chinese considered derogatory. He was visiting Japan to report on Chinese affairs. He had a distinguished career, and held councillorships at Paris and Washington. Tho reasons for the sutcido are not known. MINISTER OF EDUCATION RESIGNS. ALLEGED GRAFT SCANDAL. TOKIO, November 29. (Received November 30, at 9.45 a.m.) The resignation of Mr Kobashi, Minister of Education, has been accepted by tho Cabinet. Mr Kobashi was allegedly involved in a railway gratt scandal.
