KING ATTENDS THEATRE

For tlie first time since his illness the King will attend a theatre to-night. Ho and the Queen are going to the Theatre -Royal, Drury Lane. Both yesterday and this morning His Majesty received several of his Ministers At Buckingham Palace. LONDON, November 8. The King and Queen, who were accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of York, were last evening warmly welcomed at Drury Lane Theatre, the audience rising and cheering for a considerable time before the curtain was raised for the performance of ‘ Rose Marie.’ The King was delighted with the demonstrations of loyalty, and raised his hand ’ with smiling acknowledgment. The Queen looked magnificently regal in a gold tissue dress and a fur-trimmed coat, witk a diamond bandeau and earrings. The Duchess of York ■ wore a pale pink dress with an iridescent cloak.
