CORRESPONDENCE
THEATRE MANNERS.
TO TUB EDITOR. ■' Sir,—" .Laughter Limited'* should indulge in n Httlo solfj-analysis. A distorted sense..;of humour reveals a warped mentality. When one man guffaws in an otherwise silent theatre the reason can ■generally'be attributed to .a lack of knowledge in relation to what constitutes art. The supersensitive natures who have written to your paper in regard to what they term an objectionable swear word should wake up. The purpose of the stage is to hold the mirror up to Nature, not to. cater particularly for tliose who have lived their lives in shelter and remain that reason incapable of believing that an holiest stoker really swears.—l am, etc., . , Eauold Baxchman..
