TARIFF BARRIERS
THE GENEVA CONFERENCE MR GRAHAM TO HEAD BRITISH DELEGATION. (British Official Wiralew.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, October 27. (Received October 28, at noon.) The British Government has informed the secretariat of the League of Nations that in view of the importance of the conference to be held at ■ Geneva yn Februar on the subject of a tariff holiday, Mr William Graham (President of the Board of Trade) will head the British delegation. _ ' Mr Graham, interviewed last night, said the whole subject of the conference was to reduce the proposals for a tariff truce to a practical form, and it was felt that a better chance of success would be assured by the personal attendance of a Minister. Mr Graham added that he was optimistic as to the result of the conference.
