TO-DAY’S GASH PRICES The guide gives the prices rulin® for cash in the city shops to-day. Meat prices:—Beef (roast), from 6d to 9d per ib; corned beef, 7d Ib; mutton, from 5d to 9d lb; lamb, from 10d Ib; pork, from IGd to Is Ib. Grocery prices are:—Sugar, 2Jd lb; eggs. 1s 5d per dozen; butter, Is 8d and Is 10d per Ib; cheese, Is 2d, Is 4d, and Is 6d (matured) per Ib; bacon, Is 4d per Ib; flour, 10s 9d (50’s), and Ss 8d (25’s). Other lines are steady. Vegetable prices are:—Prime onions, 4d Ib; Taieri potatoes, 81b for Is; cabbages, 4d and 6d each; cauliflowers, 4d to Is; lettuce, 3d to 8d each; swedes, 141 b for Is; spinach, 2d bunch; tomatoes, 8d and Is In; local hothouse tomatoes, 3s 6d Ib; rhubarb, 3d per Ib; hothouse cucumbers, 1s 6d and 2s; kumaras, 3d; green peas, Is Ib; new potatoes, 8d; Peninsula potatoes, 1s 4d Ib. Fruit is:—Navel oranges, 3 and 4 for Is and 3 for Is 3d; lemons, 5 for Is; Mildura lemons, 8 for Is; bananas, 8, 10, and 12 for Is; new season’s figs, 4d per packet; new season's dates, 8d per packet; Delicious apples, 3d per Ib or 31b for Is 9d; Sturmer apples, 4d and 6d Ib and 31b for 1s 3d; grapes, Is 6d and 2s.
