HARBOUR EXCURSIONS
The s.s. Waireka will run excursion trips on Labour Day week-end, Icavmg Dunedin wharf on Saturday at 2 p.m. or the Spit and Harrington Point, calling at Port Chalmers, via the bays. On Sunday the steamer will leave Dunedin at 9.30 a.m. and 2 p.m A special attraction at Port Chalmers is the new whaler Southern Princ s, which is making Dunedin her regist ] port, and Otago Harbour her w r base. The City of New York wi! :s of interest in the dry dock, where' ;ha is getting an overhaul previous to her making the trip to bring back th« Byrd Expedition exploring party.
