The executive also reported that a conference had been held between representatives of the St. Kilda Council, the Domain Board, and tho society on the grounds to consider a proposal to extend the present lino into Tahuna Park. Three [dans were submitted, and tho one which provided tho line running along Victoria street was considered most feasible, and probably would be supported by the St. Kilda Council and tho Domain Board. The executive pointed out that the question was an important one, and the position now rested with the General Committee whether a qualified engineer should be appointed to submit detailed plans before any action was taken.— Tho secretary submitted a report dealing with the whole position, and after discussion it was decided that a copy of the report be sent to every member of the committee to enable them to arrive at some final decision. Mr M'Kellar pointed out that it would be necessary to call another meeting to rescind the previous resolutions before this committee could definitely reply to the Manufacturers’ Association.—lt was decided to refer the letter to the special committee appointed. The City Electrical Engineer (Mr M. C.
