OTAGO AMATEUR CLUB A well-attended meeting of members of the Otago Amateur cycling (Jlub was Held at the Caledonian wounds last evening. Messrs A. b'raser, A. Could, O. Smart, and J. Harrison were elected active members, while Messrs Ji’. Wood, L. Hessian, B. M’ConnelJ, and L. Calvert were elected honorary members of the club. Mr H. Ockweli, who attended tne annual meeting 01 the Otago Centre, advised that it had been decided that in future the following would bo adhered to: —(a) In ail cycle races riders must commence trom a standing start, (b) All riders must start from the bottom ol the banking or as near the same as possible, (c) All trainers or cyclists’ assistants will be supplied with passes to the enclosure, and must enter with rider immediately before start ol race, and leave accompanied by rider immediately after race has been ridden, (d) All competitors must till in recognised entry forms, as no other entry will otherwise be accepted. A box for the deposit ol entry forms will be installed. On the motion of Mi Hremtord it was decided that consideration of the dates of the quarter and three-quarter-mile champion ship rai es •be held over in the* meantime. Mr Brentford gave notice of motion—“ That B grade club championship races over similar distances be held.” It was decided that shortly after the centre’s dirt ( track meeting at her bury, the following cycle races be held: —One mile open, half-mile A grade (club members only), and three-quarter-mile maiden (club members only). '
