SETTLEMENT ARRIVED AT

• When the Craigdean Farm case was resumed in the Supreme Court to-day it was announced that the parties had arrived at a settlement. Counsel said there was no intention to disclose in open court the terms of the settlement, 'but he would state that tho plaintiffs unreservedly withdrew any allegation that might have been made against the defendants. Tho Chief Justice congratulated the parties on having reached a settlement, and said that a very pleasing feature had been the entire absence of invective on either side, Mr Treadwell: The parties have always been and still are friends.—Wellington Press Association . telegram.
