The Kurow, which arrived yesterday afternoon from the north, was unloading this morning. She was to sail this afternoon for Bluff to complete discharge. This evening the Katoa, from Lyttelton, is duo at Port Chalmers to withdraw for survey. This morning the Opihi arrived at Bluff from Westport with a coal cargo. Site is expected to a.. ivc r. u t. . (Mia on Friday for further discharge, after which she will load general cargo for Timaru. Wellington, and Westport. The Waipiata was to sail from Auckland to-dav with cargo for discharge at Wellington, Lyttelton, Tiniaru, and Dunedin. Leaving Wellington to-night the Gale is expected here m Friday *o load and sail the same day lor Wanganui via ports. On Monday afternoon the Moeraki left Suva under charter to the Australian Steam Navigation Company for Wellington, where she undergoes an extensive overhaul. The Union Company’s steamers Maraina and Maheno arrived at Auckland and Wellington respectively yesterday from Sydney with passengers, mail, and cargo. They leave the northern ports on Friday ‘for Sydney again.

Running a day behind schedule the R.M.S. Tahiti arrived at Wellington yesterday from San Francisco via Papeete and Rarotonga. She is announced to resume her voyage to Sydney at 4 p.m. on Thursday. After loading at Napier tho Port Melbourne arrived at Wellington today to sail again on Saturday foi Loudon via Montevideo. Under charter to the Atlantic Union Oil Company the German tanker Mitleimeer (6,370 tons) is to leave San Pedro to-morrow with hulk oil cargo for Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, and Melbourne. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Maori, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.55 a.m, to-day, and passengers and mails connected with the south express. KARETU LEAVING SYDNEY. Tho Union Company advises that the Karctu is to leave Sydney next Tuesday with general cargo for discharge at Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. MATOPPO’S MOVEMENTS. The steamer Matoppo is at present discharging New York cargo at Timam, and there is a possibility of her being dispatched from there to-mght for Dunedin, where she is duo to-mor-row. She completes discharge of the American merchandise at this port. NORFOLK’S ARRIVAL. The Federal Line steamer Norfolk; en route from West of England ports, was expected to arrive at Auckland today from Liverpool. She discharges cargo at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers TREDINNfCK FROM AMERICA, Messrs Turnbull, Martin, and Company advise that tho steamer Tredinnick, which was to leave Wellington to-day in continuation of her journey from New York to Lyttelton, is due here on Saturday to unload American cargo. RUAPEHU REACHES SUVA. It is reported that the Ruapehu, en route from Southampton, arrived at Suva at 7 o’clock on Sunday evening. Aftc" unloading a quantity of general merchandise for Fiji the vessel will resume her voyage, and she is scheduled to reach Wellington on October 27. She is bringing passengers for New Zealand and cargo for discharge at Well ngton, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and New Plymouth. After completion of discharge the Ruapehu ic scheduled to load for Home. * 'ALLAND! A DELATED, ! -0 The Loudon steamer Callandia, which was expected at Auckland from Port Arthur, Texas, and Los Angeles early this week, has been delayed on the voyage. Tho vessel is under charter to the Texas Oil Company, and according to cabled advice received by tho company she called at Honolulu and resumed her voyage on October 15. She is now expected to arrive at Aucltland about tho cud of _ October. She has a cargo of case oil and other petroleum products for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. PERSONAL.
