[Pen United Press Association,! CHRISTCHURCH, October 22, The session of the Supreme Court opened this morning, the calendar being light. Ernest Slow, who had pre viously pleaded guilty to a charge o) arson came up for sentence. Mr Justice Adams said offences due to drink were far too common, it was clear that the prisoner should bo segregated, and he was sentenced to reformative treatment for a period not exceeding two years.
