WAGES REDUCTION REJECTED.

A Londort Press Association cablegram, dated October 21. .says ■that twenty-two unions, embracing IoIUiOU employees in the wool irade in the Rradfurd district, rejected the employers' proposals for a. reduction of S.-3 pci’ cent in then’ wages. MISSIONARY SOCIETY. The animal conference of the New Zealand Methodist, Missionary Society was held at Auckland to-day, about sixty delegates being present. Mrs George Rowron, of Christchurch, presided. Reports dealing with home missions and the Solomon group were adopted. It was decided that the next conference ho hold at Napier.-—Press Association.
