(Received October 21, at 9.40 a.m.) An electric battery fell from the flap of the whip of the jockey Brown, rider of Lint, at the races at Toowoomba. Baceno, ridden by Dempsey, ran second. After the event the jockeys came to blows, and the secret was soon out. Brown was disqualified for two years, but Lint remained the winner of the race.
