RIFLE SHOOTING
DUNEDIN DEFENCE CLUB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club fired the first competition for prizes presented by Mr A. J. Shaw on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were ten shots (two optional sighters) each at 300yds and 500yds. Seventeen members competed. A dull light and fishtail head wind made high scoring difficult. Rifleman E. A. Mackie, with 84, made top aggregate. At 300yds Rifleman W. A. Graham was top with 45, and Rifleman R. G. Page at 500yds with 45. The East ‘team beat the West team by 4 points.
