EXPIRATION OF PRESENT LEASE Those who know the present unsatisfactory state of the St, Clair baths, which have been gradually shoaling up .with sand and stono lor some considerable time, will hope that the recommendation of the General -ittee to be made to the City Council on Wednesday night will eventually lead to some improvement. , The recommendation of the committee is:—“The matter of the future control of the St. Clair baths is now being considered by the committee and will he further reported on. to the council at an early date. It is not proposed to renew the present lease of the baths, which expires on December 22 next.”
