(Received September 28, at 11 a.m.) Inspecting the farewell parade of the British volunteer police the High Commissioner (Sir John Chancellor) said that ” Palestine would not forget their services. The British section of the police, backed up by the volunteer special police, had saved the country at the worst from disaster and at the best from a prolongation or extension of the disturbances.—Australian -Press Association-United Service.
