THIS HOfifllHG'S RECALLS To-day is the second children's day of the Competitions Festival, the preliminary awards being made in live sections this morning. Results : Recitation, boys 14 and under 16, ‘ What the Chimney S:> g' (Bret Harte).— Recalls: Masters Grahamo M'Kinlay, Alvoin de Berry, and 'J. Davidson. Humorous Recitation, boys 12 and under 16, own selection. —Recalls: Masters K. W. Stewart, Bruce Jones, and Ernest Moller, Piano Solo, 10 and under 11, ‘ Look at the Rabbits’ (Ketelbey).—Recalls: Misses Joyce Isaacs, Jean Gardner, May Ford, and Marjorie French. Piano Solo, 11 and under 12, * Fairyland Music’ (Paiget).—Recalls; Misses Edna Thompson, Dorothy Rush, Frances Hughes, Masters John Campbell, Ralph Allen. Song, girls under 13, 11 Five Little Piccaninnies ’ (Anthony).—Recalls ; Misses Gwen Dcwhirst, N. Dickinson, Dorothy Jones (Clinton), and Joyce Ridley. TO-NIGHT’S PROGRAMME. At His Majesty’s Theatre this evening a most interesting programme will ’ be presented. It will be made up entirely of the choicest children’s items, and this should provide a delightful e.benmg’s entertainment. To-night’s programme will include the piano solo, ‘ Look at the Rabbits ’: the recitation, ‘ Never Give Up ’: the child’s action song in. character, the fan-y dance (character), the piano solo, ‘Fairyland Music’; the humorous recitation (own selection), the children’s duet in character, the step dancing. On Monday morning the character recitals will be held, and in the afternoon the Scottish song, the vocal solo (operatic), and the skipping rope dance will take place.
