COMMERCIAL.
THE SHABE MARKET dunedin Stock exchange. A greatly improved tone was shown in the local share market this morning as compared with last week. Although no actual business was transacted, quotations for the various stocks were more numerous. There was no really marked change in the quotations. Bank of New Zealaiyls had inquiry at 62s 9d, without a seller. Huudart, Parkers (ord.) have improved slightly, and buyers at 45s 9d are receiving a reply at 46s 6d. Westport Coals show a close market of 335, 33s 4d. More interest is being manifested in the loan and agency section, and for Goldsbrough Morts, buyers are advancing to 48s 3d, with no seller under 495. 3d. All Brewery shares remain very firm, while considerable attention is still being paid to Electrolytic Zinc shares. Mount Lyclls had buyers this morning at 44s 2d, with sellers asking 4d more.
