Allegations were made at a meeting of the Napier Education Board that a Minister of the Crown had been approached witli the object of authorising a new school at Kei Kei, on'the east coast, after the proposal had been turned down by inspectors and the Director of Education. The board decided to protest against the erection of the building, as it would interfere with the school at Waipiro Bay.
