TO-DAY'S CASH PRICES The shoppers’ guide gives tfi® prices ruling over the counter of city shops to-day. Fish prices;—Blue cod, lOd lb; ling, 6d lb; deep sea cod, 6d lb; filleted soles, from 3d; smoked fillets, Is; Scotch fillets, Is 3d lb; mutton birds, 10d each; cooked mutton birds, ts each; crayfish, from 2d each; special kippers, from 3d each. Eggs are Is 9d per dozen; butter is Is 8d and Is tOd per lb; sugar is 3d lb, and 14s fid for 70’s; flour is 5s 8d (for 25’s), and 10s 9d (for 50’s); bacon is Is 4d lb. Meat prices remain unaltered. They are:—Beef (roast) from fid to 9d per lb; corned beef, 7d lb; mutton, from 5d to 9d lb; lamb, from 10d lb; pork, from 10d to Is lb. Vegetable prices are;—Onions, 81b for Is; Taieri potatoes, 81b for Is; cabbages, 3d, 4d, and fid; cauliflowers, 3d, 4d, fid, and 8d; lettuce, Is each; swedes, 14lbs for Is; spinach, 3d bunch; celery, 4d and 5d a head; Brussels sprouts, 8d lb; tomatoes, Is fid lb.
