South Afric in their second innings have scored 304 for seven wickets (Dalton 67, Cameron 4.5, Deane 63), [South Africa in their first innings made 259.] TITLE RACE DISPUTE. In reference to the decision of the Canterbury Centro of the New Zealand Athletic Union to retain the championship title in the Timaru-Chmtchurch road race, the secretary of the New Plymouth Cycle Club, which has undertaken the management of the race round Mount Egmont, wired the scoret'ary of the New Zealand Union, ilie latter has replied: “ You have been allotted the New Zealand road championship by the executive; carry on.” Preparations for the race as a championship are well advanced. —Press Association.
