OTAGO AERO CLUB

A meeting of tho Otago Aero Club was held in tho Y.M.C.A. rooms last night, when Flight-lieutenant II- R. Hughes presided over an attendance o L twenty-one members. Mr G. J. Errington, president of tho Otago Expansion League, was also present. A brief report detailing tho activities of the executive during the past few months was read and adopted without discussion. Correspondence dealing with the proposal to hold an art union for tho purpose of obtaining finance lor put-* ting tbe aerodrome at Green Island iiF order and for placing tbe club on a>' proper footing, was read and received .r The Secretary reported that advice had been received that tbe Government had granted £2,000 for putting the aerodrome in order, but owing to some hitch with the City Council tho club had been unable, so far. to make use of .that money. A number of alterations to the rules of the club were confirmed, and it was' decided that the rules be printed and a copy forwarded to each member. A hearty vote of appreciation was accorded the acting-secretary of the club? (Mr H. M. Mackay) for the work he had done since he had taken over that 1 position, and he wms appointed secretary. Miss G. Warren was appointed assistant secretary. Mr H. E. Davidson, who was elected treasurer, gave a resume of tbe finance# of tho club, which showed that there was a credit balance of £54.
