THE TRAMWAYS.

TO TDII EDITOR. Sir, —“ Justice ” is very amusing when he quotes penny bus and tram lares in-Dunedin. Can “ Justice tell me when and on what route he ever had a penny bus ride, as it is a concession 1 have yet to learn or. Also, the penny tram rides are a concession the public of Dunedin are fully entitled to, considering the fact that it is the three standing to one sitting that makes the penny faros. If ‘ Justice ” has ever been away from Dunedin he will have noticed that Dunedin trams carry more standing passengers than those of any other centre in New Zealand. In concluding, I still maintain that Dunedin tramways are in sore need of an efficient supervision, combining an engineer’s and general manager’s work-—I am, etc.. Ratepayer. August 13.
