SAlLED.—August 12. Storm, s.s. (0.45 p.m.), 749 tons, Sheppard, for Wanganui via ports.

Tho Ilolmdale came ip to port last night from Wellington, and was loading to-day for Wanganui via the usual ports. At an early hour this morning the Progress berthed at Dunedin. She was also loading to-day, her destination being Port Waikato via ports. After taking in cargo for Oaxnaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui tho Storm left port last night. Tho Corinna is duo her© to-morrow from Wellington to load and unload general cargo. She sails for the north at night. Tho Waiy.iata was to leave Wellington to-day to continue discharging cargo at Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. About Thursday next the Kaitnna is to load at Westport for Bluff and Dunedin.

The Poolta is to load shortly at Sydney, Port Stephens, and Newcastle for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Bluff.

Due early this afternoon from Lyttelton, the Breeze is to load hero and sail to-morrow for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, P.icton, and Wanganui. On Saturday the Calm is due from Bluff to load out for Wanganui via ports The motor ship Maui Pomaro was to leave Auckland to-day for Niue and Apia to load fruit for Lyttelton. She is due at the Canterbury port on September 4, and the Dunedin consignment of her cargo will ho railed here.

The steamer Northumberland is now to -sail from hero on Thursday for New Plymouth, where she discharges the remainder of her overseas cargo. The Marama arrived at Auckland this morning from Sydney, and when she has discharged her cargo she will he withdrawn from tho service to undergo an, extensive overhaul and refit. The work will occupy two months, and she is not scheduled to resume running un til October 11. This will be the first time that the Union Company has had an intercolonial passenger steamer overhauled in Auckland, and the work will giro employment to a considerable number of engineers, boilermakers, fitters, carpenters, painters, and labourers. At ono time nearly all the Union Company's steamer were overhauled at Port Chalmers. THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahino. from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at (i. 50 this morning, and passengers and mails connected with the south express. ENGINE TROUBLE. , A Press Association message states that the Federal Line steamer Hertford, which left Auckland for Napier last evening, put back to port from Hnuraki Gulf for repairs to her engines. She was expected to sail again this morning. LONDON TO POET CHALMERS. Tho C. and I>. Line’s chartered steamer Malakand is scheduled to sail from Loudon on August 21 with cargo for .discharge at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, andWelson. She is due at Port Chalmers on September 30. RADIO FROM TAINUI. A radio received from the Shaw, Savill steamer Taiuui states that the vessel will arrive at Wellington on Sunday next from London and Southampton. The Tainui is bringing passengers for New Zealand and general cargo for discharge at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and Timaru.' She should arrive here about August 25. WAIKOUAITI LEAVES SYDNEY. Cabled advice from Sydney states that the Union Company’s steamer Waikouaiti has left there for Dunedin direct. She carries general cargo, and should’ arrive hero on Friday. VESSELS IN WIRELESS CALL.
