RICCARTON HORSES FOR WELLINGTON
(SI’ECIAI/ XO mu: ‘ Stab.’J
The Riccarton contingent for the Wellington Racing Club’s Meeting will number twelve horses at the most. Some of those still engaged arc doubtful starters.
Sir George Clifford will be “represented by Full Feather, Sudden Storm, and liurly .Burly, who have got through a lot of good work lately. Cutts Bros, will, take them north on Saturday night. D. Campbell will send Radiate, and ho is in good health, tluigh his admirers would be better pleased if he could get a more serious preparation. If he could bo wound up thoroughly he might win in any jumping company. F. D. Jones has three horses engaged at Trentham, but Belcaire is not likely .to make the .trip. This leaves Arikiwai and Marshall!, for whom space has been booked on night’s steamer. It is not yet however, that they will go north. Arikiwai was lame after working yesterday morning,' and, though be was quite sound again after doing some walking exercise, it is feared that the trouble may bo sufficient to prevent him starting, particularly with a Sydney trip in the near future ahead of this horse.
