THE ANNUAL MEETING Tho annual meeting of tho members of the Otago Golf Club was bold in the board room ol tho Public Trust Office on Wednesday night. Mr C. W. Rattray, president of the club, was in the chair, and there was an attendance of over fifty members. The balance-sheet submitted showed a deficiency for the year of £65 19s 2d, which was considered highly satisfactory, having regard to the extraordinary expenditure incurred. An important event in the club’s history was the New Zealand championship fixture played at Balmacewen from October 10 to 20 .last, and notwithstanding tho vagaries of the weather, it was a highly successful tournament. The committee had received reports both from professionals and amateurs which were highly commendatory to the Halinaccwen course. The revival of the iuterclub matches with. Christchurch for the Cniripbell-Hosking and Hanmer Shields was a matter lor general gratification. The election of office-bearers lor the current year resulted as follows: —President, Mr Frank W. Mitchell; captain. Mr A. N. Tlaggitt; secretary and treasurer, Mr G. If. G. Srnith; committee —Messrs J. G. Dick, c.. J. Docking. C. T. Irvine, 11. A. Salmon, S K. Sleigh.
