FRIDAY, JUNE 7. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) FIRST OFFENDER. A first offender, who had been found drunk in a railway carriage the previous day and did not appear, was fined 20s or forty-eight hours. SORRY FOR LAPSE. Patrick Thomas M'lnerney pleaded guilty to being disorderly while drunk in George street on the Ist inst. He said he was sorry, and was fined 20s and costs (10s). WITHOUT LIGHTS. Harry Osborn was fined 5s and costs (10s) for riding a bicycle unlighted'in Macandrew road on May 28.—George Todd was charged under the motor regulations with leaving his car unlighted in Mount street all evening to 9 p.m. on June 1. Defendant said lie was using the car for business and left it near some trees.—The Magistrate said it was careless to leave the ear so long unlighted.—Todd was fined 10s and costs (10s). BY DEFAULT. Judgment for , plaintiff's by default was given as follows; —J. P. Wallace v. Robert Parker, goods, £5 15s Bd, with costs (33s Gd); M. A. Murray v. Fred. Howard, rent, £8 7s 6d, with costs (32s 6d); John Watson v. S. Lloyd, goods, £1 ss, with costs (10s).
