[Admiral of the Fleet Sir Cecil Burner took part in the Egyptian wars in". 1.882 and 1884. He held various important' commands as admiral from 1909 onwards. From December, 1914, to November, 1916, .he was second in command of the Grand Fleet. He was present at the Battle of Jutland, was mentioned in despatches, and was created G.C.M.G. He Held various posts after the war till Ins retirement m 1925. He was seventy-one years ot age.]
