THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Though no business was actually effected at the morning call of the Stock Exchange, sales were reported in Westport Coals at 32s 6d, New Zealand Breweries at 71s, and Electrolytic Zincs (ord.) at 36s 6d. There was no alteration in the quotations fpr hanking shares. In tho ’ insurance section Queemlands were inquired for at 64s 3d,; with a seller asking 665. There was a fairly close market in Huddart-Farkers, with buyers offering 56s 6d and- sellers id away. After a reported sale of Westpoi? Coals 33s was offered, with a seller prepared, to quit at Is more. A slight improvement was noticeable in New Zealand Refrigerating shares. Wilson’s Cements were quoted this morning ex div. of Is, the selling quotation being 41s 6d. Buyers were prepared to give 70s 6d for New Zealand Breweries without any support from sellers, and Staples’ Brewery had a' buyer offering 48s. Buyers are prepared to give 28s for Dunedin Breweries, but sellers are firm at 30s. Government Bonds and Stocks remained practically unaltered. Tiie annual meeting of the Dunedin Stock Exchange Proprietary, Ltd., was held at the registered office, Reid’s Buildings, yesterday. Air E. R. Smith, chairman of directors, presided, and there was a good attendance of shareholders. The Chairman referred to the death of the late Mr G. A. Fenwick, who had been one of the founders of the company and the chairman of directors for many years. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balancesheet, he referred to the satisfactory state of the affairs of the proprietary as disclosed by the accounts. Despite the general economic conditions and the slackness of the demand for office premises, the income had been well maintained. After a general discussion of the affairs of the company the motion was carried unanimously. Air 0. Russell Smith was re-ciected director, and Mr C. H. Statham was reappointed auditor. A vote of thanks to the directors for their attention to the affairs of the company concluded the business. DUNEDIN STARR-BOWKETT. Another of the Dunedin Starr-Bow-kett Building Society’s dishursings was fixed for last night, there being four appropriations of £SOO in each of the current groups to put out. As to group No. 3, it was mentioned by the Chairman (Air T. J. Walker) that there were only eight clusters then remaining as entitled to appropriations, and Mr A. Sligo added for the information of shareholders that the eight yet to get a draw included the chairman of directors and the secretary. As there was no bid for the £ooo in-this group, the money was balloted for, cluster No. 69 being drawn, held by one shareholder. The 105th appropriation in the No. 4 group was disposed of by sale at a premium of £ls per cent. The fifty-eighth appropriation in the No. 6 group was disposed of, £IOO

at £3O, £IOO at £2B, £IOO at £27, -and £2OO at £23. The thirty-second appropriation in the No. 6 group was disposed of by sale, £2OO at £3B and £3oo'at £36 per cent.
