Black, of Hamilton, as a member of the New Zealand team to go to Australia to compete in the match for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup at Melbourne, was made at a,meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council today. A telegram ,was despatched (a Black to-night advising him of his selection if he is available,. It is very improbable that A. D. S. Duncan will be able to go to Australia, but even if,he does make the trip the council intends to send Black as fifth man. The New' Zealand championships are to be field at Wanganui from September 27 to October 5.
