Wallingford won the first stage of the Air Force rifle shooting championship with 172 points. Another New Zealander. Pilot-officer Binley, who recently gained his commission in the British Air Force, was second with 167. [ A cable published yesterday staled that Flight-lieutenant Wallingford will shortly leave for New Zealand to take up an Air Force commission, and join his father, who was a well-known pre-war competitor ajb Bisley.]
