0.R.F.1i, COMMITTEE The Management Committee of the Otago Rugby Union met last night, Mi' D. M. Stuart (past president) in the chair. TRANSFERS. G. A. Harbrow wan granted a transfer from the Queenstown Club to Alhambra. G, W. Dixon was granted a transfer from the Star Club (Greymouth) to Alhambra. A transfer was granted to R. F. Crawford from Lumsden to Alhambra. PAYNE TROPHY MATCH. 'The Canterbury Union wrote suggesting August 3 as a suitable date for the Payne Trophy match at Christchurch, provided the winners of the respective competitions were found by that date. —The secretary reported that the Canterbury Union had been advised that the Otago Union suggested August 10 as the date of the match. — It was decided to advise Canterbury that August 3 would not suit. SOUTHLAND v. OTAGO. The Southland Union wrote confirming July 30 and August 17 as the dates for the representative games between Otago and Southland at Invercargill and Dunedin respectively.—Noted. GATE TAKINGS. The Secretary reported that the gate takings at Carisbrook on Saturday were £lll Os 9d, and that the total takings at all grounds for the day were £126 13s 3d. The takings at the SonlhcrnAlexandra match on Monday were £2O 2s 3d. PERMISSION TO TRAVEL. Permission was granted to the High School Club for one of its junior teams to travel to Oamaru on .Saturday to play a Waitaki High School junior team, Mr W. G. APClymont to act as manager. MATCH WITH SOUTH OTAGO. The South Otago Sub-union wrote thanking the union for arranging to send an Otago team to Balclutha on August 17. OTAGO'S ALL BLACKS. The Chairman said he would like to offer the union’s congratulations to the two Otago players, C. Sonntag and R. Souter, who had been selected for the All Blacks for Australia. In the case of Sonntag they wore pleased, even at this belated date, that he had been recognised. (“Hear, hear.'’) He moved that they send a letter of congratulation to Sonntag and Souter on the honour they had brought the province and themselves. (“Hear, hear.”) —The motion was carried.
