Beattie, builder, in respect to a claim for £Ol Os, this being the balance stated to be owing by the defendant to plaintiff for work done and materials supplied between December IS, .1928, and February 18. 1929. Mr J!. L. Fail-maid appeared for the plaintiff arid Mr C. B. Barrowclongh for the defendant. Mr .Fairmaid said that the claim arose out of a sub-contract for painting and papering a house at Anderson’s Bay, the plaintiff having been engaged by'the defendant to do this work. .Immediately after finishing the work Mr Admore received a letter from Mr Beattie stating that the work was not satisfactory. Jn evidence the plaintiff said that the plaster board in the house was not consistent as regards its thickness, and in places the joints of the boarding were showing up. According to the specifications he had done a good job. Since certain rooms had been papered again by somebody else, he had gone out and'had found the same faults. Edward W. Walden, architect, also gave evidence. (Proceeding.),
