'.UNIVERSITY. University Chib had a. very successful run from Mornington School, under the whistle of Deputy-captain ■ Logan, about twenty members turning out. Dispensing with paper, the pack set a fast pace to the Southern Reservoir. After continuing around the Water-race for about two miles, the pack went across country over Mount Grand and down through Fraser’s Creek. From there a fast run home was made along the Kaikorai Valley, Watt, Pickard, and Geddes showing up prominently. LEITH. Leith held its paper chase from the Albany Street School, a good muster of members turning out. The paper was in thr hands of S. Watson and J. Mason, who laid an excellent trail through very difficult country. From Albany street the paper led up Stony Hill towards Signal Hill, going about halfway up, and then down again to Logan Park. The trail next led up hill again, past the Northern Cemetery to t)polio, and thence through the Gardens. PACIFIC CYCLE. The Pacific Cycle Harriers held a three-mile open handicap at Forbury Park this afternoon. After a good race A. Farmer rode homo the winner, with C. Lucas in close attendance, while H. G. Cooper Idled third place. The time, considering the bad state oi the track, was fair—hinin sUaee. There were nine starters. Result : A. Farmer (7sec) 3, C. Lucas (see) 2, 11. G. Cooper (7sec) 3. ANGLICAN. Anglican hold its one-mile novice championship and sealed handicap for the Mount Cup at Forbury Park. A held of sixteen diced the starter (Mr E. S. Gale), who gob them away in good style. Passing the p the nrsb lime, the order was Adkins, Fitehett, Russell, and Mitchell. Along the back straight C. E., Smith and 11. Smith came up, making the pace a cracker. Coming into the last straight, Russell took the lead, closely folio wed by Robertson and C. E. Smith. In a fast sprint up the straight Russell suecesslully held off a challenge by Robertson, and the order was maintained to the linish. Result: J. A. Russell I, W. Robertson 2, C. E. Smith 3. Tune, omin 31sec. The sealed ■handicap resulted in a win for J. Fitehett. The club afterwards held a run from Forbury Park. Paper was dispensed with, and the pack ran up round the golf links, finally returning by Cargill s Castle. .In a fast run home, Stewart, led, with Holmes and J. W. Aloudio close up. NORTHERN. The above club held its weekly run from Glenavcn Church. There was a good muster, under the whistles of Captain J. Dunn and Deputy-captain F. Cawley. The Lurn-uut included several new members. T'he hares (G. Turner and V. Troehon) laid an excellent trail, the best so far this season. The trail was laid along the Valley road to the Nonnanby terminus, thence halfway up the Brown House road, where it branched oil’ up a steep climb towards the Trig Station. The run down the other side of the hill into llavensbourne consisted of much bush and bramble, but in Raveiisbonrne itself the trail was good running. It then led up the hill to Stoney and over_ to Palmer’s Quarry, thence ’up Union street, along Leith street, . iuougli the Gardens, and home. The run home resulted : Strong first, followed closely by K. M'lndbe and G. Atmr-liaw.

CIVIL SERVICE, The Civil Sendee Club held its weekly mu from the George Street School, where about thirty members turned out. Paper was dispensed with, and (he pack set off along George street, and then followed Duke street to the Ross Creek Reservoir. At this point a steady training run was held round the track at the water's edge. The course consisted of three laps In the first and second laps a jogging pace was set, while in the third lap a brisk stride was maintained to the top, where a last finish commenced. C. S. Thompson easily showed his heels to the field. The run was then continued up the hill at the back of the reservoir and along the Wakari road, eventually turning down into Maori Hill, past M'Glashan College, and on to Prospect Park. From this point the pack followed Regent road to George street, where a last run home resulted iu C. S Thompson ami L. C. M’Lachlan coming first and second respectively. HANOVER BAPTIST AND ST. KILDA. The above clubs held an unofficial combined rim from the George Street School. There was a good turnout for both clubs, there being twenty-six St. Kilda members ami fifteen Hanover Baptists. The combined slow pack (under the whistle ot acting Deputy-captain J. Boardman) left ten minutes before the Fast pack, who were in charge of Captains 11. Hayward (Hanover) and Foley (St. Kilda). The hares (Jack Rartlctt and Lgs. MacMillan) set off for Pine Ill'll, and followed the road For about two miles. The trail then Jed across country westward, till it struck the road leading out at Patinos avenue. A good run homo from Woodhaugh bridge resulted in J. Boardman (St- Kilda) coming in first, closely followed by L.

Medlin and C. Smith (Hanover). The fast pack, who took a different routo home, diet not arrive till half an hour, later. In tho run home A. Kay (Hanover) came first, followed by D. Thompson (Hanover) second, and L. Buddicom (St. Kilda) third. Tho St. Kilda'Club were afterwards entertained to tea by Air and Mrs J. Bissland. Hanover Baptist Harriers are reminded that tho run for next Saturday is from Cavcrsham Baptist Church. MORNINGTON. Mornington ran its one-mil© maiden handicap finder ideal conditions at 1* orbury Park. A good field faced the starter, Air G. Rawnslcy. The limit men set a good pace, and could not bo caught by the back-markers. he pace was not what was expected, but F. Millar made an exception by starting at a good pace and keeping it up all' tho way. D. Henderson ran well from a back mark. The race resulted in a win for Colin Chirnsido (uosee), N Walmslev (oosec’l coming second, and F. Millar (ISsec) third. After tho race the club had a short run along St. Kilda beach to Anderson’s Bay and back ‘ CAVERSHAM. The Cavcrsham Harriers held their one-mile maiden handicap at Forbury Bark, an excellent field of twenty-nine runners facing the starter, Air C. Frye. From an excellent start a hot pace was set by the limit men, especially R. C. Knox, who opened out a big lead. On passing tho stand for the first time P. Harrison came through and soon opened up a big gap on the field. The hack-markers were fast closing up, and a good linish looked probable. Harrison was still running steadily, ' although striding short. Roach© was overhauling the leader verv quickly on entering the straight, but Harrison had in reserve, and won comfortably by syds, Roaelie and Cummings providing a great linish for second place. Time, omin Ihsee. After the rim the non-eligible runners had a fast run" to Lawyer’s Head and hack, the. runners keeping well Lo-gether. . ST. PATRICK’S. Twelve runners faced the starter in the St. Batnek’s Harriers one-mile maiden handicap at Forbury Bark. Tho track was very soft, and made fast times out of the question. ’The men on the front marks made the pace solid at the start, but lack of training made two give up. R. Carvalho took the lead alter about throe furlongs, and kept it till near the end, but J. W Bindley ami N. ABGottigan, who had been lying handy came with good finishes, Bradley finishing with about lovds to spare, from ABGettigan, witn Canahlo ovds further back. Result:— ,1. W. Bradley I, N. APGertigan 2, R. Caivahlo 3. At the conclusion of tho race the pack went for a run along the beach to Lawyer’s Head and back along *■ Lovers 5 ' Lane.” A long run home vas held, in which Godde-, Campbell, ami Ryan were prominent. CARGILL ROAD METHODIST. Cargill Road hold its run from the Alornington Church. The pack, under the whistles ol It. Al‘indoe ami I • 'Wellington, led up Galloway street over to Kaikorai, thence via Mount Grand and across country to tho Southern reservoir. The trail led up to Lookout Point, from where a fast run home resulted in L. MTveieh and R. AlTudoe heading. This dub held its three-mile open cycle and one and a-lialf mile novice races at Forbury Pane. Tlic ground was in a bad state, and militated against last times. Nine cyclists laced the starter (Mr Henderson) in the former race. H. Allen and \V. Icinpielon leal for the major portion ol the journey, the held, with the exception of Conroy and Rennie, being well bundled. Coming into the straight lor the finish IJ. Farmer (Usee) hud a great tussle with C. Lucas (ser), and Cooper and Templeton were having a similar dud a little further back. I'armor, however, prevailed by a length from Lucas, with Cooper two lengths back beating Templeton by the narrowest of margins. 'J lie one and a-halt mile novice field was well bundled practically all the way. Henry (ser) ran a beautifully-judged race to win from L. J. .lone* (2i)sec). with F. Hobbs (,20scc) well up in i bird place. The other scratch man (Whaley) finished fourth, and perhaps mafic the mistake of running too hard at Lie start. DUNEDIN. Dunedin ran from the Cardens Tea Kioslc under the whistle ot Captain Laxter. The pack set off up Black’s road to the top Signal Hill and along the top of the hill,'then down into the bush to the Lop rifle range, on to the Ravensbonrne road and round the Logan Palm football ground to the rifle range, up through the scrub to the Northern Cemetery and home.

ABBOTSFORD METHODISTS. The Abbotsford Methodists ran from the Fairfield Methodist Church. The hares—(l. Fincham and W. Buchanan—led a satisfactory trail the scrub and undergrowth on the Chain Hills, then hack on to the Main road to Saddle Hill, then through sumo padlocks in an easterly direction on to the Jubilee coal mine, thence on to the old Brighton road, and home. In tho run home ,R. Knox and B. Martin were first and second respectively in tho fast pack, and in the slow pack I. Brown was first and B. Orange second. The main pack was controlled by Captain 11. Knox.
