HARVEST FESTIVAL
.Harvest festival services were celebrated at the Moray Place Congregational Church yesterday. _ A very fine, display of vegetables, fruits, other produce, "and eggs was massed on tho rostrum, the eggs being the gifts of the Sunday School scholars. The minister,, the Rev. Albert Mead, occupied the” pulpit at both services. A special feature of the morning service was Mr Mead’s talk to the children assembled in the front seats of the church. The text for the morning address was from Ecclesiastes, 11-6: “In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand.” The preacher made a strong appeal to young, old, and middle-aged to keep on with the sowing for the good of their fellows. In the evening Mr Mead again preached to a verv large congregation, lx; subject being the story of the creation taken from Genesis account, stressing forcefully that it was most of all a revelation ol God. The music throughout the day was brightly and heartily rendered by the choir. At the evening service Mr ,T. 1). M‘Kcchnie sang ‘Now Heaven in” Fullest Glory Shone/ from Haydn’s ‘ Creation.’
