The Betting Control Board has accepted tenders “ for the present ,” of a lightning automatic totalisntor, a. British automatic totalisator, a G'rtiham Amplion, and, fourthly, a Bell, ( ,Puuch, and Printing Company machine. Iney will be installed on the leading racecourses including Newmarket;* Jrqbablv the first will he ready for Durst Park in August. The Graham Amplion Company , states that them ■ .tender amounted to £IOO,OOO for a iM’cliine worked entirely by electricity. _ The board’s decision indicates 'that it considers the totaljsators nailled superior for English purposes to -the -type used on Australian racecourse,4'Ljyhicli were also submitted for consideration.
