PRINCESS THEATRE
The League of Xoiious llcvuo Company is certainly a popular band of entertainers with Dunedin audiences, for last evening the Princess Theatre was booked up shortly after 7.30. The excellent standard of entertainment set by other revue companies of late has been eclipsed by this clever and wellorganised troup. Mike Connors and Queonie Paul, who head the league, seem to know exactly what the people want, and they provide their wants with an overflowing generosity. Syd Beck and Ernie Paulasto are two exceptionally rare comedians.. Pleasing vocal numbers are oflorod by several members of the company,'while all take part in sketches bubbling over with uproarious mirth, and in the many attractive and splendidly arranged ensembles. Lynn Smith’s Jazz Band has lost none of its art in giving jazz compositions to the full satisfaction of the band’s many admirers. An exceptionally clever ballet accompanies, many of the turns, and these dainty stoppers also show they possess acrobatic ability of a high order.- Variety is the keynote of the league’s entertainment, and not one dull moment is to be found in the whole show.
