Forecast. The dominion meteorologist (Dr it. Kidson) supplied the following at noon to-day:—The indications are lor variable and moderate breezes; there is a prospect of fair weather, the night will probably be very cold, with frosts inland ; the barometer has a bailing tendency; tides good, seas moderate. 'The Breeze will sail to-night for Timaru, Lyttelton, .Wellington, and Wanganui. Alter loading for Oamani, Tiinarn, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picfon, and Wanganui the Galo is to leave port tomorrow night. The Kahika is timed to sail at It o’clock to-night for Napier and Gjsborne via ports, omitting Wellington. Loading was being done by the K.aimanawa at Westport to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. On Saturday the Wingatui left Auckland for Wellington, from which port she is to sail to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is to load here on Friday lor Auckland via ports. At the cud of the week the Katya is to leave Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. 'The Corinna leaves New Plymouth to-day. Nelson to-morrow, and Wellington on Thursday for Dunedin, where she. will load on Saturday for Nelson and New Plymouth via ports. When the steamer Inkum has finished discharging her timber from 'Banbury she will leave to-morrow for Westport to hunker. At present loading at Port Chalmers the steamer Canadian Winner is to sail to-morrow for Wellington, Napier, and Auckland to complete loading for New York, Boston, and Montreal. On Sunday the Union Company’s steamer Karetu, from Sydney, arrived at Bluff to commence discharge of her Australian cargo. She was to leave the southern port this afternoon for Dunedin, thence Timnru, and Lyttelton to complete unloading. The vessel is due here to-morrow 1, and is to sail for the north on Thursday. Later she will return to this port to load, afterwards going to Bluff, from which port she will Vail for Melbourne and-Sydney,

THE FERRY SERVICE. The Wahinc, from Wellington, arrived at Lyttelton at 6.45 a.m. to-day, and southern passengers and mails connected with the express. MANUKA’S NEXT TRIP. At 3.30 p.m. on Thursday last the Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka arrived at Melbourne from Wellington. She is timed L> sail for New Zealand at 10 a.m. tomorrow. 'The vessel will bring passengers and cargo, falling at Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. She is duo here on April IK AMERICAN CARGO. The American steamer Golden Cloud arrived at Auckland ■on Sunday afternoon from Pacific Coast ports. The vessel brought general cargo, case oil, and lumber lor discharge at Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin, and is due here about April 13. 17ERM1NXUS LOADING. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company’s vessel Hcrminius, trom Wclllington, arrived, at Bluff yesterday to load general cargo for Home. The vessel is scheduled to sail finally from Port Chalmers on April 6 for London via Panama. PERSONAL. Captain B. B. Irwin, master of the Maori, who had been invalided ashore at Wellington, rejoined hi.s vessel last week, relieving Captain A. H. Prosser, who will await instructions. Mr E. L. Binney, who arrived at Wellington from Sydney by the Tahiti, has joined the Kaimai as third officer. Mr J. S. Beaton, who has been on holiday at Wellington, has relieved the second officer of the Waiherno, .Mr R. E. Suckling, for holidays. YL' E. V.
