Mase was badly iujlired when his machine was wrecked in a crash near Bury St. Edmunds. Five rescuers were needed to extricate him irom the wreckage. The tank burst, but _ the machine did not ignite. Mase is a member of a-, private flying club. He learned flying in Australia. The crash was due to engine trouble.” Jt was thought that the above message referred to Mr Frank Mase, of Auckland, who, it was recently reported, was to leave on a solo flight from Hug land to New Zealand.]
